History

The idea started from observing that most tour operators, travel agents and service providers in the tourism industry are silent about women’s reality.

To change this situation, Carin Salerno and Elisabeth Thorens decided to launch an organisation. Women in Action Worldwide was founded November 11th 2012.

Based in St Prex, Switzerland, the organization leads the production and publication of the Book collection The World of Women and develops projects worldwide to promote Women’s political, economic and social empowerment.
